You don't have to get a new port, you just pull the old card out and put the new card in. If you have integrated gcpihars, you'll want to just buy a card, install the drivers, and install the card. If you have a newer card already, you could look into SLI/Crossfire. If you have a capable card, this technology will combine an additional card with the one you already have and give you ahuge boost to gcpihars processing power.You might also look into a physX coprocessor. This will take a huge load off the GPU and CPU for rendering 3D animations, and will make your gcpihars much more detailed.
